Abstract

This study proposes a quantitative methodology for the national seismic capacity survey of non-seismic RC buildings in Korea. This study presents a comprehensive framework for the national survey, consisting of four sequential phases: building typology classification, direct evaluation of maximum seismic capacity, derivation of fragility curves, and database construction. Within this framework, the scope of this paper is focuses on the methodology for the direct evaluation phase. To overcome the limitations of traditional deterministic assessments, fragility analysis is performed based on maximum seismic capacities of building structures. For this purpose, this study establishes a process to evaluate the Ultimate Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) capacity of building structures using two evaluation methods : linear redistribution analysis and nonlinear static analysis. The nonlinear static analysis was modified to extend the applicability to structures with irregular shapes and higher mode effects. The linear redistribution method was developed to conveniently evaluate the seismic capacities of buildings by performing force-redistribution based on linear elastic analysis. The proposed methods were applied to examples of reinforced concrete structures, including moment frame, dual frame, and shear wall structures, to evaluate their validity. The results of the two evaluation methods were compared for the structure models. Based on the results, the advantages and limitation of the method were discussed.

본 연구는 국내 비내진 철근콘크리트(RC) 건축물의 국가 단위 내진능력 실태조사를 위한 정량적 평가 방법론을 제안한다. 기존 결정론적 평가 방식의 한계를 극복하기 위해, 구조물의 최대 내진 역량에 기반한 지진취약도 분석을 위한 정밀 구조해석을 통한 내진성능 도출(직접조사)을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 구조물의 최대지반가속도 역량을 산출할 수 있는 두 가지 평가 프로세스, 선형 재분배 해석과 비선형 정적 해석 기법을 제시하였다. 선형 재분배 해석은 선형 탄성 해석 기반의 하중 재분배 원리를 활용하여 대규모 건축물의 내진 역량을 보다 효율적이고 편리하게 평가할 수 있도록 체계화하였다. 비선형 정적 해석은 비정형 형상 및 고차 모드 효과를 고려할 수 있도록 적용 범위를 확장하여 개선하였다. 제안된 방법론의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 모멘트 골조, 이중 골조, 전단벽 구조 등 다양한 철근콘크리트 구조 시스템에 이를 적용하였다. 각 해석 기법에 따른 구조 모델별 평가 결과를 비교 분석하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 각 방법론이 지닌 공학적 특성과 실무적 활용 측면에서의 장단점을 고찰하였다.
